An investment in trust.

The Power Equity Fund provides grantees the flexibility they need to create lasting impact by resourcing organizational capacity and infrastructure--communications, fundraising, and financial management--to grow and sustain their work. 
 
To arrive at the list of grantees, the Power Equity Council crowdsourced eligible organizations through a rigorous process that uncovered organizations that are rarely in the spotlight or receive funding. Grantees will be announced in January 2025 and will receive a minimum of a 3-year grant along with additional coaching and capacity-building supports.

The entire $10 million Power Equity Fund will be allocated to these grantees.   

Eligible organizations: ​ 

• Are Black and people of color-led, -centered, and -serving. 
  

• Work on early childhood policy, which includes early care and education, child and maternal health, and economic security for families with young children.   
  

• Organize families and the early childhood workforce. We define "organizing" as collective action that builds power among directly-impacted people to change policies and systems. 
  

• Align with our values, vision, and mission. 
  

• Have a history of organizing on issues that impact early childhood systems, which include health, family support, learning, and thriving communities. 
  

• Influence state or tribal-level systems. 
  

• Can be a 501c3, 501c4, multi-entity, or fiscally-sponsored. 
  

As Power Equity Fund grantees shift from "survival mode" to strength and sustainability, they can build the statewide power and connections that allow them to outlast our investments.
