In addition to strengthening traditionally marginalized early childhood advocacy organizations, the Power Equity Fund seeks to decolonize philanthropy—unlocking power and resources in the funding ecosystem. Strengthening non-profit organizations and leaders contributes to this goal, but the Power Equity Fund seeks to go further—pushing the broader early childhood funding ecosystem open.
Speaking out for power equity investment means helping other investors approach systems change through a different lens—one that centers humans over data and is founded on mutual trust.

And unlocking power means not only increasing funding to Black and POC-led, centered, and serving organizations, but also increasing Black and POC power and voice in the funding ecosystem (intermediaries, endowments, foundations, advisors).
